Ordering DSL consists of two parts:

Internet Direct and Ameritech will perform a remote line test to pre-qualify your telephone service for DSL. There is no additional charge for this service and you are not obligated to purchase DSL service once the test is completed. Once you are pre-qualified for DSL service, Internet Direct will help you determine what DSL service plan best suits your needs and objectives. Pre-qualification results are normally back in 1-3 business days.

Once pre-qualified, Internet Direct will process your order, and inform you of its status. For a normal customer self-install, the time frame to activate service is approximately 10 business days.
