DSL Installation

For DSL service, you will need:

1)  An DSL transceiver unit (ATU-R), commonly called a DSL modem - a Westell DSL modem kit is provided by Verizon.

2)  An installed and configured NIC (network interface controller) card.

3)  Installation - Verizon provides an end-user "self-install kit" that allows the customer to install the DSL splitter and micro filters themselves.

4)  Windows 95/98/NT/2000/ME/XP, MacOS 8.x and higher. We have DSL customers successfully using Linux, Unix, and SPARC - however, Verizon does not provide support for these platforms and neither do we.

*Please note there are known problems with DSL using Windows ME. If you're running ME, consult us before ordering DSL.
